Christmas Quiz; What colour tree should you have

I came across this quiz site and decided to see what colour tree i should have especially as its the first tomorrow. Here is the answer, not sure on the colour but i love the sentiment.

You Should Have a White Christmas Tree

For you, the holidays represent joy and spirituality.
The true meaning of Christmas is important to you - even if you're not religious.

The holidays are a time of reflection for you.
You like to spend time thinking about what's important in life.

Your white tree would look great with: Bright, bold ornaments

You should spend Christmas Eve watching: The Nativity Story

What you should bake for Santa: Sugar cookies - served up with a tall glass of milk

I finally finished my JYC album ready for tomorrow and Shimelle's class

Its nearly time for .......JYC with Shimelle

Its quickly approaching decenber, not good for college work and exams, and the poor boys cant have the decorations up until i finish my last exam.

So to get me into the whole spirit of things and too cheer us up from last years god awful christmas period with the loss of our beloved dog and Grandad all within a few days, my mum has gifted me the JYC class.

As this is my first attempt at JYC i am so excited and I have already bought a 8 x 8 american crafts album to get me started and made a start on putting together some pages. I went for a non traditional colour scheme of blue, cream and shocking pink and i cant wait to get started now. As i have made a start, i hopefully wont get to stressed with revision, exams, starting to actually christmas shop for gifts on the 13th Decenber, arhhhhhhh and will fit each prompt in daily.

You can find all the details here for Shimelle's online Journal your Christmas class if you fancy joining in.

Not long to wait now

Ribbon Oasis

Here is a selection of stuff i did last month for the Christmas ribbon pack from Ribbon oasis. I struggled with this as i dont celebrate christmas in the traditional red and greens as we have a blue, brown and gold theme here and have for a good few years now. But i made some decorations and a few LO's. I didnt do any cards as i am not a card maker and Bea as other DT members who are more than capable of producing fab cards, i am not, lol. Check out the Christmas Gallery here to see some fab work by the rest of the DT. I shall be using some of those ideas soon.

This one was non christmas papers from a BG collection pack but i think it still looks really festive. I love how Alex looks so young and this picture is only two years old. He is growing up fast now. Soon will be 8, arhhhh, where have my babies gone. I think DH would pack up and leave if i suggested some more, lol

I just loved the star and plan to make more in my own blue/ brown colours.

Also check out my mums new blog to see what she has come up with for her own christmas tree books. Really nice and traditional in comparison to my modern theme.

This one was not in the christmas theme as i just wanted to use the whites in the collection to make a plain, white spaced LO of Alex and his missing teeth.

Back to the study, about to make myself a revision timetable, exciting ha

Pre Winter wonderland

One of the perks of being a northern girl living in the highlands of Scotland is the snow we always get. But i cant remember getting any in November before now.

We have spent a few days outside in the garden having lots of snowball fights and plenty of sledging.

And Koby's first experience of proper snow, he just loved it, lol

And just look at these little beauties. They were at the winter festival in Elgin yesterday. Nearly wrote my dad's car off on the way as i skidded on ice and nearly needed new under wear, lol

That it for tonight

Just a quick one again

I am in the middle of a essay but i had to post. I have finally finished my challenges for the scrapbook apprentice. I was really happy with the LO's but the cards just didnt float my boat. I am not a card maker so was not inspired by this part of the challenge.

Here are a few sneak peeks.

Cant wait to see what everybody else has come up with as well now. And even if i dont make it any further, i got a great kit to play with.

Back to the essay, research management proposal, daunting stuff

Long time no see!

I have been absent all week due to my college commitments. Why do all essays come at once. I do wish they would spread them out over the 13 week block for each semester. Anyway, the end is near and i just have one left that i will hopefully get dusted off on Friday.

I have a few projects to show you that i made last month for make the moment last. I received a gorgeous kit containing the mia range from Crate paper. You can see it here.

It was a right mix of colours, reds, greens and creams. So i made a few LO's, a mini book and some christmas stuff.

I loved this kit and how all the stuff i made looks so different.

Back to the essay now, arhhhhh

Take care

I just loved the really thick rose ribbon that i turned into wee baggies. I have some more different wire here and i will make some more as little christmas bags.

52 ways to look after yourself, challenge 10

Fresh Start

This week i would like you to pick pick a day, probably the weekend is best. Start that day on the right side of the bed- from the inside of course, lol, with a slap up gourmet breakfast in bed.

Make lots of hints to somebody, even go that extra mile whilst out shopping and let a few of your favourite things slip into the trolley, your favourite Colombian coffee, a fancy English tea or some tropical fruit juice. How about something really indulgent such as toasted teacakes lashed with butter to start off with.

Don't let who ever is pampering you get off lightly, hint at the fancy red rose and softly serenading background music, lol, you can but try. And try and squeeze in a lingering hug to start the day of!

So this weeks LO has to represent your favourite indulgent breakfast or if you don't go with the full works every now and ago, describe what you do go for.

I am a toast kinda girl usually. The toast has to go cold, then thickly spread with butter and shreddless marmalade. But DH does a mean full english now and again with black pudding, and cheesy tomatoes, Mm mm yum. But since moving to Scotland i just love butteries with butter and a nice cold glass of tropical fruit juice.

And Carolinez new bon appetite kit would go perfect with this weeks challenge. And this weekend Caroline has 25% off as a forum special so why not sign up now and get your discount

As always the prize box is being added too and is getting quite full. Cant wait to see all your favourite breakfasts, lol

New Creativity Life magazine: I am a apprentice

I happened to pick up the first edition of creativity life magazine last month and really enjoyed it. I loved the sketch section, the gallery and the designers bit. I saw the advert for the scrapbook apprentice but um ed and arh ed before finally submitting some LO's.

Well i have to tell you i was doing cartwheels when i saw the cripted announcement with the initials as to who had been chosen and then later when i got the official email. I have been secretly bubbling with excitement as i couldn't say anything for the last 3 weeks.

But the second edition goes live today so i cant wait to head on out to my local scrapbook shop, paper craft boutique, in Elgin to pick it up. I guess i will find out what i need to do then, arh, so scared. You can see all the info here, here and here, and here.

Catch you later

Its getting chilly up here in Scotland

Well its November today and DH has finally consented to switching on the central heating. We live in a hundred + year old cottage so it has 3ft thick walls and isn't drafty so we don't feel the cold as much. But after a week of 0 degree temps or lower and a day of snow mid week, he finally gave in. We are toasting now, lol

I thought I'd show you our snow!

This is my favourite time of year, autumn and winter. I don't get me wrong, i love the summer and i will toast on a beach like everybody else but i just love walking on crispy grass as Daniel says, lol. Coming home from work or college and its dark, getting the log fie going and snuggling down for the night with the family, arh bliss. I am so soppy sometimes!

Anyway here are a few Halloween pics. I ran out of time to carve the pumpkins in a spectacular way like i usually do but the big essay due yesterday didn't help.

I cant wait to scrap these pics as i have the perfect little mini book kit that i bought from Carolinez Craftz Kitz last year. Its not the usual Halloween colours but it is very autumn like and high lighted with Halloween stickers it will be great.

Catch you again later
